Program Description

This Clinical Research Updates™ expert roundtable was developed for psychiatrists, primary care providers, and other health care professionals involved in the management of patients with mental disorders.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Identify individuals with bipolar disorder based on patient history, presenting symptoms, and the latest diagnostic criteria 
  2. Discuss the relative clinical profiles of agents that have shown efficacy for various phases of bipolar disorder 
  3. Individualize therapeutic regimens for bipolar disorder to maximize efficacy, safety, tolerability, and treatment adherence
  4. Counsel patients with bipolar disorder on the importance of self-management strategies and adherence to therapy
