The educational design of this activity addresses the needs of infectious disease specialists, internal medicine physicians, transplant specialists, oncologist, pharmacists, and other clinicians involved in managing patients who are at heightened risk for poor COVID-19 outcomes.
After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to:
- Identify candidates for COVID-19 therapies
- Create proactive plans with patients, other clinicians, and health care systems to ensure prompt and equitable use of COVID-19 therapies
Dr. Elizabeth Clayborne discusses the current state of COVID-19 and the COVID/Flu/RSV tripledemic in the United States. In addition, Dr. Clayborne offers suggestions on how to manage common clinical challenges in COVID-19, including the importance of vaccination, drug-drug interactions, and ensuring access to treatment.
