The End of the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency

Target Audience

The educational design of this activity addresses the needs of infectious disease specialists, internal medicine physicians, transplant specialists, oncologists, pharmacists, and other clinicians involved in managing patients who are at heightened risk for poor COVID-19 outcomes.

• Create proactive plans with patients, other clinicians, and health care systems to ensure prompt and equitable use of COVID-19 therapies

Program Description

It is essential that clinicians are aware of the changes that will occur in their practices when the federal public health emergency (PHE) ends on May 11, 2023. Dr. Leigh Speicher reviews how insurance coverage will or will not change for COVID-19 vaccination, tests, and treatments, and the potential impact on telehealth and Emergency Use Authorizations.
